I put out my white sage after a small attempt to cleanse a room…am I okay?

I’m at a friends and I’ve been seeing and sensing spirits since i was 5 years old. Well we just started burning a small part of a leaf that had fallen off the smudge bundle…well we both felt another presence in the room so we lit the bundle and we covered each other with the smoke and i walked around the room and covered the window and the beds and the closet and eventually the door way…which is were we felt the 2nd presence. My friend said with the 2nd presence she felt it was peeved…i didn’t feel this…but i did feel overwhelmingly not alone O.O
I reached the middle of the room and then felt overwhelmed again…but this time it was different…Its hard to explain…well i tried to put it out…then we read that your not supposed to put it out so i lit it back up…needless to say…i messed up. I should of read more into it. i did ask the spirit of sage for forgiveness. How much damage did i do? any advice…any information on this? did i reverse the purpose of the sage by putting it out? please…any information would be great appreciated.
