Smudging to me is the use of natural herbs white sage, sage, lavender & sweet grass to purify a home or object (I use it like Holy water) & as natural incense . I pray only Catholic prayers & make the sign of the Cross as I smudge. I do not honor the earth only God (The Trinity) I’m Catholic & I need to know if this is a sin or not. I’ve thought about asking my priest but I wasn’t sure if I should to not.
